Capacity
- The name plate rated power of a generator or group of generators, typically described in kilowatts (kW) or megawatts (MW).

Capacity Factor
- The energy production in a given time period divided by the product of the total generator plant capacity and the amount of time in the period, described as a percentage.

Capacity Value
- The ability of a generation resource to provide capacity to a system grid during periods of peak demand.
